While a roaring storm is wreaking havoc at sea, a lonely young sailor is sitting by the fire of a nightly harbor tavern. Outside, screeching seagulls devour a cadaver, maybe still warm. The sailor is unwell. Believe it or not, the young man had never eaten fish before until this very night.

Medtem ko divja nevihta povzroča kaos na morju, mlad osamljen mornar sedi ob ognju v nočni pristaniški gostilni. Zunaj kričeči galebi mesarijo truplo, morda je še vedno toplo. Mornar se ne počuti dobro. Verjeli ali ne, mladenič še nikoli ni jedel rib, vse do te noči.

Rune Callewaert

is a master student of animation at KASK Ghent, Belgium. He specialises in stop motion animation, for which he designs and builds both puppets and decors. He often tries to achieve an absurd and dark, but also slightly humorous atmosphere within his films, while experimenting with different techniques to add to these different atmospheres. Themes surrounding art history, decadence and classical music feature frequently in his work.
