Sun Xun (π Animation Studio)

Shanghai was in lockdown for two months since April 1st, 2022. At the time, Sun Xun was setting up his solo exhibition in Shanghai. Initially, the Shanghai government asked people to stay at home in quarantine for five days, but it reneged on its promise and the city eventually closed down for two months.

Šanghaj je bil od 1. aprila 2022 dva meseca v popolnem zaprtju. Sun Xun je ravno takrat pripravljal samostojno razstavo v Šanghaju. Sprva so mestne oblasti prosile ljudi, da ostanejo pet dni doma v karanteni, a so to obljubo požrle in mesto se je naposled zaprlo za dva meseca.

Sun Xun

was born in 1980 in Fuxin in Liaoning province, China. He graduated in 2005 from the Print-making Department of the China Academy of Art. In 2006 he established π Animation Studio. He currently lives and works in Beijing. As a representative artist in the Chinese new media art, Sun Xun established π Animation Studio in 2006 after graduating from China Academy of Art, and soon received recognition from exhibitions and awards both domestic and abroad.
