An adaptation of a story from Pu Songling's “Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio” (“Liao Zhai Zhi Yi”). A mysterious tale about a scientist with a serpent tempest and a prostitute stuck in a wasteland.

Geng Xue (耿雪)
1983, born in Jilin Province, China; works and lives in Beijing, China. She studied in Sculpture Department in CAFA(Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing, China) since 2002, and studied in HFG (Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, Germany) in 2013. Graduated with Master’s Degree in Printmaking Department of CAFA in 2014. GengXue has produced many works in media such as sculpture, ceramic, installation, film and others. She was invited to exhibit her works in 2019 the 58th Venice Biennale; 2018 the 21st Biennale of Sydney; 2017 “In motion”, 100th anniversary Exhibition, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics,Holland; 57th Venice Biennale "Memory and Contemporary" Exhibition; 2014 Busan Biennale, Busan, South Korea, ect. Her pieces were exhibited in museums such as Berkeley Museum of Art, CA.,U.S.; Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, U.S. ; Miro Museum (Fundacio Joan Miro) Barcelona, Spain; Applid Art Museum, Frankfurt, Germany; Lehmbruch Museum, Germany.
