CLAUDIA MUNKSGAARD PALMQVIST - Danish animator "I am very interested in the tangibility of art and how the "physicality" of the artwork affects one's experience of it. Awareness of the relationship between content and form is everything for me"

KONRAD HJEMLI is a 19 year old animation student, and has made animated films pretty much his entire life. He was interviewed by NRK Super when he was 13 for an episode of their show Megafon, titled "the animator". He worked on the short "Låkt i Haude" that was screened on Frame by Frame 2018.

KRISTOFFER CASPAR DAMSKAU "Working as a freelance illustrator, I wanted to explore further what I can do with my art. Animation was the obvious choice as it combines art with storytelling. I’m both surprised and delighted that «My Dad is a Dog» was the final project I joined in my first year at Volda, as I got to explore animation and story far out from my own comfort zone - where I believe you’re most likely to grow as an artist"

Maria Galliani Dyrvik

I am a screenwriter, director and producer. I got my bachelor in film and TV production at the University of Bergen in 2010. Since 2014 I have managed Smau media, the production company of which I am co-owner, simultaneously with my job as continuity producer at TV2 Norway. In 2015 I also completed a master in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, during which I have specialised in screenwriting. At Smau media I have worked on projects from original ideas until completion. In addition to interviewing, writing, filming (Sony FS / Canon DSLR), directing and editing I worked with pitching, researching, budgeting as well as report writing. I have experience with several editing programs, from Final Cut to Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as After effects. Delivering videos for different kind of platforms and clients and working for TV2 has also given me a good understanding of codecs and formats. During the last years I have worked on advertisements, commissioned films and a short animated documentary which has been screened at several international film festivals. I have also made music videos and an original music series for DJAZZ.tv. I am currently completing my first animated children's short film a mix of analogue cut-out animation and After-effects green screen layering. I am always looking for new ways to tell a story. I love to write new ideas and come up with concepts for videos on all kinds of subjects. I think individuality, emotions and compelling aesthetics are great means to convey any matter. I believe in the importance of making audiences experience strong, real and engaging stories. I think the stories we tell and the way we tell them really defines us, making research an essential part of multimedia production.
