Shot in Mexico with over 1800 stills using a DSLR and transferred to 35mm for projection. Winner of 1st place stop motion competition created by Michel Gondry.
The idea was to make a short film in stop-motion to illustrate a dream I had and enter Gondry’s competition. Surreal enough I DID have this dream and the piece won the first prize. The shooting went crazy and a lot of the actors in the film are family and friends of mine… or even the gaffer. It rained, and we just didn’t have the required amount of crew to shoot something like this, but I just wanted to have my dream shot.

Isi Sarfati
An internationally awarded filmmaker who discovers his passion for photography and film at an early age. After studying at The Savannah College of Art & Design and later obtaining an M.A in film-making from The London Film School, his ability to adapt and shoot in many different styles has taken him to shoot Films, TV Series, Commercials, Music Videos and Documentaries in Los Angeles, Mexico City, London and Japan. Work he has shot has been awarded in festivals ranging from Venice Film Fest (Golden Lion), Huesca, Havana, Miami, London, Expresión en Corto (Mexico), a prize given directly by Director Michel Gondry, among other awards. Sarfati’s work has been published in magazines such as American Cinematographer.
