Junha Kim

is a filmmaker and 3D artist based in Seoul. He completed a BAS in Art&Technology from Sogang University in 2020, and an MFA in Art&Technology from California Institute of the Arts in 2022. Junha's practice is focused on creating experimental digital images that challenge viewers' expectations and blur the boundaries between different mediums and genres. His works often play with mixing different types of media to create a sense of mystery and confusion, encouraging audiences to question their perception of reality. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Junha has a strong interest in sly humor and philosophical awareness, and his work aims to have popular appeal while still operating in both mainstream culture and an art context. By exploring the boundaries between the real and the imagined, the human and the non-human, Junha's practice offers a unique perspective on the role of digital media in contemporary art. Junha's original digital works have been featured in prestigious venues including Animafest Zagreb, Student Academy Awards, Ars Electronica, Japan Media Arts Festival, and Siggraph Asia.
