A Q&A after the screening is never enough – animators and audiences strive to learn more and more details about mysteries of stop motion animation filmmaking process.

This is why StopTrik holds special sessions of in-depth conversations about the creative process each year. The filmmakers attending the festival, mainly authors of the films presented in the Official Selection (competition programmes and Panorama), are given the floor (and screen) in order to showcase the making of videos or photo documentation from the set, demonstrate their tools and puppets, but above all, to discuss the development phases of their projects. TrikShow gives the general audience answers on how stop motion animation is made and professionals an opportunity to confront, exchange, and dig deep into the subject of how else to approach stop motion animation.

The discussion is moderated by Oliwia Nadarzycka, film culture researcher and activist, currently a Ph.D. student at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Łódź.
