Remembering Marcin Giżycki and Paul Bush

Two exquisite experimental filmmakers who were both interested in object replacement animation, the spirit of “cinema of attraction”, encounters with live-action cinema, and avant-garde traditions of animation filmmaking, departed suddenly in the span of only 10 months to the great sadness of the whole art-house animation community.

Both Marcin Giżycki and Paul Bush supported StopTrik in their own ways – by advising and enabling professional networking, by submitting their films, by always welcoming the ideas and daring concepts stimulating our special screenings and thematic retrospectives.

Piotr Kardas and Vassilis Kroustallis will initiate conversations about those great Artists we miss.
