UnCensored: Animation Battle 18+

Two non-conforming animators, Kata Gugić (Cockpera, 2020) and Karina Paciorkowska (You’re Overreacting, 2018), will confront each other and challenge the audiences in the ANIMATION BATTLE 18+!

The rules of the game are simple: just as if they were MCs, the Animators will freestyle with the videos. They will present in turns various animated and experimental shorts, selected spontaneously on the basis of interaction. They will go deeper and deeper in the animated, audiovisual realm of sexuality, perversion, and corporeality. The two selectors will counter each other with weird, provoking, curious, raw – and, of course, still artistic quality! - short films which people might not dare watch otherwise!

Kata Gugić

graduated in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Textile Technology, and Animation and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Her graduation film Cockpera was screened and awarded at numerous film festivals worldwide. She is based in Zagreb where she works in the fields of animation, set design and costume design.

Karina Paciorkowska

was born in 1994 in Warsaw where she graduated from the Wojciech Gerson's Public Artistic High School specializing in visual advertisement. She graduated from the Film School in Lodz in 2021. Her films discuss socially engaged subjects (among them, You’re Overreacting, 2018), she has also authored visual identification of a few social campaigns. Her short films were presented and awarded at dozens of film festivals in Poland and abroad. A laureate of the Ministry of Culture scholarship for the artistic achievements in 2019. The same leadership of the Ministry decided to censor her film in 2021. She became a hot topic of pudelek.pl, a gossip platform, and that's the highlight of her career as a film director.
