2023, Hong Kong, Germany, 7'
An expanded stereoscopic approach creates a strong defamiliarisation that attempts to encapsulate the darkness, confinement, and uncertainty of 2020 – the year of the global pandemic and the introduction of Hong Kong’s national security law.
Razširjen stereoskopski pristop ustvari močan občutek nepripadnosti, ki skuša zajeti temo, ujetost in negotovost leta 2020 – časa globalne pandemije in uvedbe zakona za državno varnost v Hongkongu.

Max Hattler
is a German-born experimental animator and audiovisual artist interested in the space between abstraction and representation, where storytelling is freed from the constraints of traditional narrative. His practice contemplates microcosms, moments, and atmospheres: close-ups as reflections on the big picture, and aesthetics as reflections on politics. Max is an Associate Professor at the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong.
