Film o krhkosti in vzdržljivosti ženske, ki je doživela zatiranje zaradi nepravičnih konfucijanskih tradicij. Z namenom vnaprej dogovorjene poroke so avtoričino babico v zgodnji mladosti prodali drugi družini kot bodočo snaho in novo delovno silo v gospodinjstvu.

A film about the fragility and resilience of a woman who faced oppression from unjust Confucian traditions. For the purpose of a pre-arranged marriage, the author’s grandmother was sold as a young girl to another family to be raised as a future daughter-in-law in productive roles.

Wu-ching Chang

born in Taiwan, Wu-Ching Chang is an animation director who earned MA. Animation at Royal College of Art. She is the founder of Aco Creative Ltd. She has worked on animation, illustration, and concept art since 2014. Her films approach multiple issues of females and humanistic views. Her films are often based on cultural context by doing interviews and contain multiple experimental artistic practices. Her film won the Jury Special Mention Award at Atlanta Film Festival and Women Make Waves Film Festival and is selected at Animafest Zagreb and Hot Docs International Documentary Festival.
