StopTrik IFF, international celebration of stop motion and experimental animation art, calls for submissions!
The 11th edition of the Festival is coming soon to Maribor, Slovenia (29. 9. - 3. 10. 2021) and Lodz, Poland (6. - 8. 11. 2021), and we hope to present your film in the International Stop Motion Competition, The Borderlands Competition or Panorama (non-competitive) section.
We admire challenging and innovative films that reshape our understanding of the animated film medium, dare to question established world-views, and explore cinematic expressiveness with the most exquisite use of stop motion techniques. Uncertain if we will be able to meet in person, we declare that our greatest desire is to hold a live-event where you can share your passion with the Audiences and other Artists, get to know each other’s approaches to animation filmmaking, and exchange views on the current state of culture production.
Accepted films should last no longer than 30 minutes and be realized after 01. 01. 2019 in the techniques of stop motion animation (puppet film, claymation, pixilation, cut-out, loose material techniques etc.), combine stop motion with other animation techniques or live-action footage. To complete submission you need to provide the organizers with filled and signed ENTRY FORM AND REGULATIONS by July 25th 2021.
Your submissions may be delivered either by online entry form or by online transfer (please send email to stoptrik.festival@gmail.com, including required documents and link for downloading film copy from e.g. wetransfer.com, dropbox.com etc).
As of other requirements:
If you are a professional filmmaker/ a student/ an enthusiast of any age and background, you are eligible to submit.
