A first love is corrupted as a man recalls his affair with a beautiful circus contortionist in this stop- motion animation of wooden manikins. Based on a story by Joe Frank.

Chel White

Director Chel White’s extensive body of work includes short films, adult and children’s television, music videos, ads and an independent feature film. A Rockefeller Fellow, he sites dreams as his greatest influence, and often makes use of allegory and black humor to depict the human experience. White's work has screened at the Museum of Modern Art, the Van Gogh Museum, and film festivals that include Tribeca, Berlinale, Hong Kong, Annecy, Ann Arbor, SXSW and three films at Sundance. His groundbreaking music video for Radiohead7s Thom Yorke won Best Music Video at SXSW and his film Magda won Best Animated Short in the Florida Film Festival. Chel White has directed projects for Saturday Night Live, David Lynch, Al Gore, and the American Indian College Fund. He has also been a visual effects artist for filmmaker Gus Van Sant on several of his pictures, including the Academy Award winning Milk. White is a co-founder of BENT, a film studio in Portland, Oregon.
