Jerusalem grown Tatia moved to NY to attend NYU's film school where she directed the award-winning animated short Crazy Glue based on a story by Etgar Keret. Tatia animated for Nickelodeon, Scholastic and Little airplane Production focusing on character animation for preschool shows, while directing and animating A Buck’s Worth a 5 minute proof of concept for $9.99 - a stop-motion animation feature co-written Etgar Keret, which was developed at the Sundance Screenwriters/Filmmakers’ Lab in 2001. A Buck’s worth premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005. Tatia moved to Sydney, Australia between the years 2006-2008 to direct $9.99, working with the voice talents of Geoffrey Rush and Anthony LaPaglia among other prominent Australian actors. $9.99 premiered at the 2008 Toronto film festival and went on to win numerous film festivals and earn nominations for best feature and best director at the prestigious Annies Awards. It was released in numerous territories in 2009. In 2015, Tatia directed and animated The Opportunity based on the short story by Hanoch Levin for a short film program produced by StoryVid with the support of The Goethe Institut.
